The Spanish LCTeam won the Gracious Professionalism award at the Spanish First Lego League Championship celebrated in Tenerife, Canary Islands, last March 23rd and 24th. In the event, 56 Spanish teams and 900 kids “coop-eted”. They were the winners of the 37 regional phases celebrated in the previous weeks throughout the country, with more than 16,000 kids participating. This gives Ander Otero, Daniel Zabalza, Iñigo Varela, and Asier Martínez, the LCTeam members, the opportunity to go to the international big final in Montevideo (Uruguay) to be held later this year and show again their team values to the judges and colleagues. LCTeam won also the Global Innovation Award at the First Lego League regional phase. First Lego League Spain has the support of Lego Education Robotix, Airbus, GMV, and the European Space Agency, among others. This year’s challenge was INTO ORBIT and long duration space exploration missions.
