“The TESLA Network is the perfect blend comprise between elite academic minds and the leading industry in the space sector. This is a great opportunity to form myself in an international research environment. I am honored to work on this project where I can enrich my knowledge in RF component design, while being aware of its practical aspects”.
Abhishek Sharma, Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV)
Abhishek Sharma was born in New Delhi, India. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication at the Technical University of Uttar Pradesh, India 2014, and his Master’s degree in Microwave and Optical Communication at the Department of Electronics and Communication of Delhi Technological University (formerly DCE) in 2017. During 2017-2019, he worked as a Deputy Engineer in the D&E/Microwave Component Division of Bharat Electronics Limited, under the Ministry of Defense of India, where he participated in the design of transceivers for active phased arrays & radars.
Abhishek has just begun his doctoral studies at Microwave Applications Group (GAM-ITEAM) of the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (UPV), like an Early Stage Researcher of the TESLA Network. During his Ph.D. the student will develop novel compact solutions for waveguide filters using empty cavities, as well as loaded with conductor and dielectric resonators. Reconfigurable capabilities using mechanical elements, will also be investigated, and this previous study will be extended to new multiplexers and combined networks for reconfigurable applications.
Abhishek’s primary supervisor is Prof. Vincente Boria, Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV)
